The Alternative Print Workshop, co-founded by Dennis da Silva & Janus Boshoff, offers an environment where artists, photographers and anyone with an interest in alternative photographic processes can learn, create, and be inspired. These historic processes are mostly handmade, where artists build their own cameras, mix chemicals, and hand coat emulsions onto fine watercolour papers. The processes include Cyanotype, Pinhole, Van Dyke Brown, Salted Paper, Platinum/Palladium, and many more. The resulting prints are unique and intrinsically beautiful. The Print Workshop doubles as both a working space for artists as well as an educational environment, offering half and full day workshops.
