SALT, CYANOTYPE AND VAN DYKE BROWN PRINTING
In addition to traditional darkroom services, Dennis and Janus specialise in the historical processes and can produce prints in a range of handmade photographic processes. The required light-sensitive chemical emulsions are specially mixed, by hand, and very carefully hand brushed onto high quality 100% cotton papers using special imported wooden Hake brushes or glass rods. Enlarged negatives are produced from the original negative, transparency or digital images. These negatives are then contact printed onto the coated paper by exposing them to ultraviolet light. The exposed paper is then washed, processed, fixed, and where necessary, toned.
